The Julington Creek Preserve, Cypress Forest is home to many aquatic, avian, and terrestrial animals unique to the beautiful JCP river system which feeds the St. Johns River. There is no better way to experience this unique ecosystem surrounded by majestic trees, reflective waters and the native animals which call it home. Tours are guided by your own personal “Florida Man," who will help you create your next big adventure from one of three locations in the preserve.

Our Services
Rentals: Ready to get your “Floridian” On? We offer 2 hour kayak rental windows from one of 3 great locations around the JCP preserve. Guest are provided with all the equipment needed to get on the water! All Kayaks are monitored with state of the art safety/GPS monitoring to ensure guests can explore the Florida Cypress Grove independently, and safely.
Tours: Would you like to learn more about this beautiful river ecosystem? Private “Florida Man” tours are available with a local cypress forest/kayaking expert. Let our “Florida Man” show you the ropes with a 1 hour guided tour. During which, you will be educated on local wildlife, kayaking basics and the history of this magical place. Simply request a “Florida Man Tour” as an add-on to your rental purchase. Tours are available on a first come first serve basis.
Times and locations are subject to change based on tides and weather conditions…after all it IS Florida!

DC is a Cypress Forest waterway that extends over 7 miles to the point of the reserve and next closest kayak launch.

PLS Kayak Ramp is located near Old St. Augustine Road and Bartram Park Blvd. in Jacksonville, FL.
This leg is shorter with only approximately 3.2 miles to the point of the reserve and next closest Kayak launch. However, there are multiple directions along several waterways which you can explore in multiple directions making this one of our favorite spots.
